Crunching of the ash, and fallout underneath my feet, I steady my gaze out to

Find out if any survived…
Nothing could prepare me to what I was to face
After the bombs fell, my eyes saw clearly
Religion is a cancer to this world
Humanity’s own hubris will be its own undoing
Human race reduced to mere kindling
Fires to cleanse this world, from the sins of the past
The future and for all of time immemorial
I steadied my step one leg at a time step by step, for after the bombs fell everything changed

Never thought I would be the last one left
This darkened thought has not gotten to me yet
Hear more laughter yet seeing no trees
Just one more second and there will be…No more tears
Humanity has killed itself through lost ideals and crooked agendas
It’s just me and my former ghosts of this former world
Only the wailing winds and rain pouring down upon me
The last gut punch is thrown, and I am soaked to the bone
Least I am not that far from home
Facing the last vestiges of solace, seeing in the distance possible shelter
Facing the end of this existence
Hoping to find that final peace
Trying to find that sweet release
It’s game over for the human race
Dark world singing to the end
Dead world singing were the dead
Humanity is finally dead!
